John O’Dea is hired by current or aspiring business owners to model the personal effect of business decisions. John’s modeling and expertise help his clients understand the scenarios and options available to optimize their financial outcomes. This can include cash flow projections, investing, buying or selling companies, exit routes, 401k/retirement plans, buy sell agreements, and estate and tax planning.
John uses his expertise alongside industry leading tools and technology to provide his clients and their tax and legal advisors with the information they need – when they need it. As a result, John’s clients have greater clarity regarding relative financial and nonfinancial tradeoffs in multiple scenarios.
When John isn’t helping his clients handle financial curve balls, you might find him calling balls and strikes in Pleasant Hill, CA. John has volunteered hundreds of hours to ensure that the Pleasant Hill Baseball Association fields the region’s very best all-volunteer umpire crew.
John is a graduate from Santa Clara University with a degree in Marketing. John is a lifelong learner and self-described nerd. This has translated into being awarded many industry designations associated with advanced business, investment and financial planning education including Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), Certified Exit Planner (CexP)™, Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®).
Outside of the office, John loves spending time with his wife and two children.
